About

Software engineer who likes building tangible things. My work moves between distributed systems, small tools, renovations, cabinetry, photography, and an overanalyzed concert ledger.

Engineering

I’m a senior software engineer at Cloudflare, working on distributed systems and infrastructure. I care about tools that make complex systems easier to understand, operate, and change safely.

Outside work, that often turns into browser-based utilities, data projects, and experiments built to solve a specific stubborn problem.

  • Distributed systems
  • Go
  • TypeScript
  • Rust
  • Infrastructure as code
  • Container orchestration
  • Monitoring & observability

Making

I renovate an 1886 house in San Francisco and design much of the work before building it: cabinets, millwork, utilities, steel, masonry, irrigation, and the details connecting them.

The same habit runs through both practices—measure carefully, model the constraints, make the thing, and document what changed.

  • Cabinet design & fabrication
  • CAD & technical drawing
  • Millwork & trim
  • Framing & insulation
  • Electrical & plumbing
  • Metalwork & welding
  • Building code & permitting
  • Hardscaping & irrigation
